Eric Greitens, Missouri governor quits after the sex scandal and financial investigation

In International News

Once a political star, Eric Greitens has given his resignation on Tuesday due to expanding probe of a sex disgrace and violations of laws related to finance.

The legislature of Midwestern US state that was regulated by Eric’s own party, was in the middle of a special meeting to decide whether Eric Greiten should be charged before the governor declared his resigning decision would be effective from Friday evening.

“This ordeal has been designed to cause an incredible amount of strain on my family,” said the defiant governor, who had repeatedly called the investigations against him a “witch hunt,” borrowing a favourite phrase of President Donald Trump.

“I have not broken any laws or committed any offence worthy of this treatment,” he added at a brief news conference, at one point clearly holding back tears.

According to the St Louis Post- Dispatch newspaper, Eric’s decision popped up after the judge forced Greitens to release information about a new Missouri and the co-ordinations among the group.

Eric, the 44-year-old married governor was shuffled when his extramarital affair went public. He was in the affair for two long years until the allegations surrounded him, it was said that he started to beat her mistress into silence

People are still clueless that who can be the Greitens’s mistress that has claimed him taking a photo of her naked, and blindfolded, without even asking her out. He even threatens to release the photo if the affair went public.

It is a matter of shame on Eric’s part, as being a political leader and a star, he has no respect for women. He has done some bad deeds due to which he had to resign from his post. His orders will be effective from Friday.

It’s clear for the forces that oppose us there’s no end in sight. I cannot allow those forces to continue to cause pain and difficulty to the people that I love,” the governor said.
