India has beaten Bangladesh in the second T20 match by six wickets in the Nidahas Trophy to seal a win after they lost to Sri Lanka in the first match. Shikhar Dhawan and the Bowlers looked in fine form to restrict Bangladesh to a low total and grab a win from there. Dhawan scored a brilliant half century, and Vijay Shankar was awarded for his match-winning bowling and spirit towards the game.
Bangladesh was asked to bat first in the match. Bangladesh had Tamim Iqbal and Sarkar on top of the order but failed miserably to perform falling prey to SN Thakur and Jaydev Unadkat.
Indian bowlers also decimated the middle order with a rapid pace restricting them to 139 runs after their 20 overs quota. There were about 30 runs short of facing too many dot balls cost them the match. They will try to turn round the tables.
Coming to the second innings, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma came in charge from the dressing room to jot down quickly a low given target and fade away the loss they faced against Sri Lanka, but a quicker from Mustafizur drove down his bails off the wicket. Shikhar Dhawan was consistent in scoring runs.
Raina played a right hand in scoring some runs for the team but went back to the pavilion. India desperately needed that win with Shikhar Dhawan hammering his ravishing yet another half-century for the cane.
India has been in an outstanding form since their tour of Sout Africa where they surprised everyone by winning the ODI and T20 series. The presence of Virat Kohli, Ms Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be missed in this series.
